I don’t have to explain how important food is, or how certain flavors and smells can bring you back to your grandma’s quicker than Marty McFly in Back to the Future.
But I will tell you how incredibly inspired I am by my friends, what they do, and the way they express themselves through food, and how I’m interested in the messes we make.
It isn’t really about the food at all. It’s the documentation of a feeling or a string of moments that no one else sees but has experienced- and food is typically at the center of that. It’s taking pictures or videos of your friends in your apartment in the dead of July. It’s hot. There’s cold beer. And everyone’s lounging around, comfortable. Vulnerable.
